These two-day training sessions, being offered around the country, are designed for teachers and business trainers who would like to learn more about Moodle's features and how to implement them effectively. For a more detailed outline of the topics covered in the workshop, see the training agenda.

This training will be held at the Learning Tree International in New York City. Two hotels located nearby have Learning Tree discount rates: Wall Street District Hotel - Holiday Inn Manhattan (212-232-7700) and The Wall Street Inn (212-747-1500), please ask for Learning Tree rates. These two-day training sessions, being offered around the country, are designed for teachers and business trainers who would like to learn more about Moodle's features and how to implement them effectively.


The primary goal of the first day of training is to introduce participants to Moodle. The training will begin with a brief overview of Moodle. This overview will be followed by a guided tour of Moodle's most popular features and tools from the perspective of the learner. As the first day comes to a close, participants will create the shell of their own “sandbox” course. Topics included on the first day will be: Creating and editing your Moodle profile, hands on experience with the top five Moodle modules – Assignment, Choice, Forum, Quiz and Resource, and defining your course settings using blocks, topic summaries and labels to customize your course.

Advanced Moodle Training:

These one-day training sessions are designed to extend and enhance the skills of a Moodle course creator. The advanced training agenda will begin where the two-day course creator training ends with a focus on some of the more complex tools and features of the Moodle learning management system. The day will also include discussion of key instructional design principles as they apply to the elements of your Moodle course. Topics will include:
